Mango’s Caribbean Restaurant was created by Sandra Dee in honor of her daughter Mango, who passed on at the age of 34 from cancer. Mango loved Italian cuisine and sitting on the beach. It was because of this that Mango’s exist. Little did Sandra know that the idea of infusing a beach front and Italian cuisine into a business would be such a pioneering concept that would allow her daughter’s legacy live on.

From the beginning Sandra wanted to work with people who placed as much emphasis on a relaxing environment as they did in their work. "People working at Mango have bonded in a way that anyone walking in the front door could feel it and share it." The restaurants rely on the talents of many, from our amazing chef Huza Lugo, through the entire staff who contribute so much of themselves every day. Like everyone else, there are times in our day to day operations when we lose track of our strides, but Sandra always reminds the staff in regards to keeping Mangos memory alive.  We continually strive to produce original and wonderful food and to value and respect each other, and the people we serve, spreading the kind of community we want to take part in.

Although faces, menus and times have changed, Sandra desire to uphold Mangos memory continues to be the essence of our idea of hospitality. Mango’s is honored to be a touchstone for a community of like-minded people, both employees and customers, who value their time here.
